Communing

Basic Point:        Language primarily exists in relationships between live people.

Rule to Follow:   Acquire the language primarily in relationships. (Share experience and talk; share experience through talk; share all aspects of experience.)

Understanding

Basic Point:        Understanding speech involves a complex set of skills that only develop as we exercise them.

Rule to Follow:   Listen to massive comprehensible speech (related to all aspects of daily experience, values and beliefs).

Talking

Basic Point:        Putting thoughts into words involves a complex set of skills that develop only as we exercise them.

Rule to follow:    Engage in large amounts of extemporaneous talking (related to all aspects of daily experience, values and beliefs).

Evolving

Basic Point:        As your ability changes, the ways you can learn and relate to people change, too.

Rules to follow: Adapt your learning activities and social life to your ability level. Keep talking “badly” until you can finally talk well! Steadily and systematically (whether quickly or slowly) conquer more and more of the world. Don’t limit your vision!
