The growing participator approach combines Vygotskyan sociocultural theory with a mainstream psycholinguistic understanding of language processing, a conception of languacultural growth as peace building, and continuous transformation. “It’s not a language to be learned but a life to be lived.”

we are opening a linguacultural center in Riyadh, KSA using the GPA method as described here. I used it myself to learn Arabic over the last 4 years. I am hoping to connect with G.T. directly to get advice about the program and see what training might be available to ensure that we remain ‘true’ to the program.

I live in Riyadh Saudi Arabia and want to learn Arabic from some Saudi friends who want to learn English from me in return (using the GPA paradigm). Is there a GPA facilitator who can tutor us in how to start the process?

Three of us have formed a non-profit and currently use GPA to train folks before they leave the US how to get started using GPA when they move overseas. We focus on the first two phases, but are working to incorporate a greater understanding of Phase 3, as well. Greg, Angela and Becky have been great mentors to us over the last few years as we’ve developed this training. We are just buildng our website and hope to blog more about the specifics of GPA along the way. http://engagemosaic.com/

Does anyone know of a GPA program for learning Hebrew in Israel?
December 19th, 2016 at 5:16 pm
I don’t think there is one yet. The nice thing about the GPA program is that you can do it on your own.
